Game 9: Toronto 0 at Chicago 4

Defenseman Gus Mortson scored twice, including a power play goal, and the Chicago Black Hawks (1-2-0) won their first game of the season, beating the Toronto Maple Leafs (2-1-0) 4-0 in the Hawks' home opener.

Al Rollins stopped 24 shots to earn the shutout.
